For this Photoshop assignment, we had to take an ordinary photo of the school and alter it to make it look as if it was in a different place, while still being in the school. I chose to turn the gym into a tundra environment with the animals playing basketball. ORIGINAL PHOTOPHotoshopped PhotoWhat I LearnedThis assignment really tested me on my Photoshop abilities. I learned a lot on my own since there weren't really any instructions. Everyone's photos turned out differently. I learned how to create shadows, how to add a different floor in, how to make the photo look as if it's snowing, and how to blend things together so they look a little more realistic.

For this assignment, we were given the task of taking enough photos to create 5 panoramic photos. Each panoramic photo takes about 5 pictures to create. Then we had to use the Photoshop tool called Photomerge to create our panoramic pictures. Best 2 panoramic photosOther 3 Panoramic PhotosWhat I LearnedIn this assignment, I learned a lot of new things about panoramic photos. I learned it's best to use a tripod when you take them, or else you will end up with uneven and choppy pictures. I also learned how to use the Photomerge tool, and that for my pictures the cylindrical setting worked best when making panoramic photos.
For this assignment, I chose to do macro photography. I wanted to do this topic before the flowers outside died so I could get cool photos of them up close. There's not a lot to take pictures of in the winter, so I figured this was the best time to do macro. Best photo
ORIGINAL (UNEDITED)Other Best PhotosWhat I LearnedIn this assignment, I learned how to use the macro setting on my camera. This was my first time experimenting with this setting and I think it turned out okay. I learned that images tend to be shakier when you are up close and it's hard to keep your hand steady and not get a blurry image. I also learned that taking crisp photos of flowers is hard on a windy day. I became more experienced with editing colors while doing this assignment as well, because I changed the tones in my best photo.
For this week's photo assignment, I chose to do macro photography. I found out the camera at my house has a macro setting, and I would like to take some photos with it before all the flowers die since it's no longer summer. I might also take photos of eyes, since those look nice with the macro setting.
For this assignment, we had to choose a topic from a list given to us in class, and take photos to satisfy the topic. This week, I chose people since homecoming was over the weekend and my friends would be dressed up. Best Photo
Other Best PhotosWhat I LearnedIn this assignment, I learned that candid photos work best when you're taking pictures of people. I also learned that using a high ISO is not a good idea, because I got a lot of digital noise in my photos and it was hard to reduce. I couldn't fully reduce the digital noise. I learned how to work in photoshop to reduce the noise, and to use selections to balance the colors in the photo.
In this assignment, we were given a photo taken by another student to edit. We had to use many tools such as selection, layers, and levels. We were told to edit the photo based on a set of guidelines to make it look cleaner. Below is the original photo, and then the one I edited. What I LearnedIn this assignment, I learned how to clean a photo if there's a distraction in the background, and edit the colors. I now know how to use the selection tool, edit the levels to make colors pop more, color in a background, and make a photo cleaner.
For my next photo assignment I am going to do people. Homecoming is this weekend, and all my friends will be dressed up. We're going to the park to take pictures and I can use this opportunity to get my photo assignment done.
For this assignment, we had to pick a topic from a list given to us and take photos that corresponded with the topic. I chose animal, and I took pictures of my dog Jimmy. We had to take 50-100 photos, then pick the best 10 and narrow it down from there. We also had to edit the photos. best photo
Other Best photosWhat I LearnedIn this assignment, I learned that you have to take more than 5 or 10 photos to get the picture you want. I took 126 photos and only got a handful of good ones. Most of them were blurry or tilted. Things that went well during the assignment were the poses Jimmy did. He's naturally very playful and curious, so he likes to get close to the camera.
For the pop art assignment, we had to create two different pop art photos. For the first photo, we had to take a photo of ourself and create a pop art with 4 colors (red, green, blue and yellow). We had to use photoshop tools that we were unfamiliar with to create the photos. What i learned In this assignment, I learned how to use edit the hue and saturation to change the color of an image, and how to edit the threshold to make an image lighter or darker. I also learned how to resize images and canvases to the size I need and how to move images around the canvas. I learned to equally space the images using the ruler tool.
For my first photo assignment I'm going to take pictures of animals. I got inspiration for pictures to take of my dogs, since those are the animals I am going to focus on.
